Ingredients

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (approx. 2 limes)
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon minced and deseeded jalapeño
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Chili flakes, salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Scoop out the avocados into a mixing bowl and mash with a fork until desired consistency is reached (chunky or smooth).
  2. Add lime juice, garlic, jalapeño, cilantro and olive oil. Mix well to combine.
  3. Stir in smoked paprika, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve immediately or cover with plastic wrap, pressing it directly against the surface of the guacamole to prevent browning.
Chef’s Tip

For a more complex flavor, let the guacamole sit for 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Want an extra layer of texture? Add some chopped toasted pumpkin seeds.
