Roasted Sweet Potatoes
These simple yet flavorful roasted yams are the perfect balance of natural sweetness, caramelization, and a hint of sea salt. Roasting brings out their deep, rich flavors while keeping the inside tender and creamy. - Sweet Potatoes – as many as you want
- Coconut oil
- Sea salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Yams: Peel off the skin and cut into small triangles, about 1 inch wide and ½ cm thick.
- Coat with Oil & Seasoning: Toss the yam pieces with coconut oil and a sprinkle of sea salt. If the coconut oil is solid, melt it in a pan before drizzling over the yams.
- Roast to Perfection: Spread the yams on a baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for 30-35 minutes, flipping halfway through. Check at the 20-minute mark for doneness.
- Cool & Enjoy: Once the yams are golden and tender, let them cool slightly before serving.
Chef’s Tip
For extra depth, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon or smoked paprika before roasting. Want even crispier edges? Roast at 400°F for the last 5 minutes!
