Ingredients

  • 2 cups cucumber (approx. 1 large English cucumber, peeled)
  • 1 ripe green pear, cored
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 3 cups packed organic spinach
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice (approx. 1-2 lemons)
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina
  • Juice of one young coconut (or ยพ cup cold water, or ยฝ cup water and ยฝ cup ice)
  • 8-10 big mint leaves (optional)

Preparation

  1. Peel the cucumber and core the pear.
  2. Add all liquids to a blender first.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
  4. Taste and adjust with more lemon juice or sweetness if desired.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!

For an even cooler and more refreshing smoothie, freeze the bananas and use ice-cold coconut water. Want an extra boost? Add a teaspoon of chia seeds or a handful of fresh basil for a unique twist on flavor and nutrition!
